Shannon Klisch
About Me
Shannon has been the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program Supervisor since November 2014. She has worked in SNAP-Ed Nutrition Education programs since 2012. Shannon received her Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health Education from San Jose State University in 2005. Her undergraduate degrees are in Anthropology and Communication from UC San Diego. Shannon has worked in community health since 2001 and has focused on various topics from reproductive health to perinatal substance use prevention. Shannon is passionate about healthy food access in low-income communities since she grew up in a rural community and benefited from the Free School Meal program. When not at work, Shannon can be found at the beach or on bikes with her family.
