This website containing rainfall data is for convenience only. This data is from the California Department of Water Resources at:  http://www.cimis.water.ca.gov/Stations.aspx

A cautionary note about California Irrigation Management Information System (CIMIS) data – Weather reporting is not the CIMIS purpose.  The CIMIS network uses specific weather data - solar radiation, humidity, temperature and wind speed, from a station to calculate the reference evapotranspiration (ETo) for that station location.  ETo to be used by growers and commercial landscape managers for irrigation scheduling.  We do collect and report other weather data, not all of it related to ETo, as an additional service to our users.  The rainfall data may not be accurate do to reporting issues, outages, and other weather station problems.  If you have questions about the CIMIS data please contact Neil Rambo at:  Neil.Rambo@water.ca.gov

We also suggest checking other sources for data, e.g. check the precipitation recorded at surrounding CIMIS stations and the National Weather Service for a reference at:  http://water.weather.gov/precip/
